This is a limited alpha release of SuperTracker, put out for early feedback.
I would appreciated any email letting me know what sort of performance you get on your machine... it seems pretty fast to me, but I'm using a G3/233. Performance reports from users of slower machines would be appreciated.
In addition, any feature requests will be considered for implementation if they're not too complex. Well, what do you expect for free? ;)
And as a final request, if anyone wants to design a better icon than my lame-ass attempt (Hey, I'm a coder, not a designer...) then please feel free! If I use it, I'll credit you.
Three points:
• This release is PowerPC ONLY. Sorry! If you want to try a 68k build, let me know and I'll see if I can put one together, but I suspect it'll be unusably slow.
• It's also pretty hungry for memory. This appears to be a "feature" of RB apps at the moment. :( If it barfs on big, multiple server listings (over 1000 servers), try uprating the memory partition by a Mb or two.
• There's a known bug I'm trying to track down where the program doesn't correctly read all the data from a tracker, but sticks waiting for more data. It's not a crash, and quitting and restarting may solve the problem. UPDATE: I think I've now fixed this bug. If you still get a tracker "stopping" halfway through a download (and you don't get same problem using Hotline's built in tracker) let me know!
